Welcome, and thank you for visiting this web site.

In my practice, I work to help create a safe, supportive environment for self exploration and creative problem solving. I assist individuals and couples to deal with life changes, family problems, relationship issues and grief.

As a psychotherapist, I offer different treatment modalities. My main focus is psychoanaltytic psychotherapy, but I also practice Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which combines cognitive behavioral techniques with mindful awareness, and teaches skills for emotion regulation and distress tolerance. I also offer skills training for people with social anxiety. If you find yourself overwhelmed by social situations, or are afraid of being scrutinized, judged, or embarrassed in public, individual or group-based social skills training will help you regain confidence and trust in yourself and coaches you how to be confident in public situations.

In addition to being in private practice, I work at the at the Lieber Recovery and Rehabilitation Clinic for Psychotic Disorders at Columbia University. For the past 3 years, I have been in advanced psychoanalytic training at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies.

All services are offered in German and English.
